The Credit Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Memphis, TN, responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of commercial and consumer borrowers. This position involves reviewing financial statements, credit reports, and collateral information to prepare clear, well-supported credit memos and recommendations. The Credit Analyst collaborates closely with relationship managers and loan officers to structure credit solutions, monitor existing portfolios, and identify potential risks.
Daily activities include analyzing trends, updating financial models, ensuring compliance with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role also requires regular communication with internal stakeholders to provide insights that support sound lending decisions and strong client relationships.
- Strong credit-related expertise, including Credit Management and Credit analysis skills.
- Advanced Analytical Skills for interpreting financial data, assessing risk, and drawing data‑driven conclusions.
- Solid foundation in Finance, including understanding of financial statements, cash flow analysis, and lending principles.
- Effective Communication skills for preparing written credit reports and collaborating with internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Proficiency in spreadsheet and financial analysis tools (e.g., Excel, financial modeling software).
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple analyses and deadlines.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, lending policies, and credit risk best practices is highly beneficial.
