Responsibilities
- The Wealth Advisor I analyzes and interprets clients’ investment objectives and risk tolerances, providing individualized investment advice suitable for those objectives and tolerances.
- The advisor utilizes their expertise and knowledge of the securities industry and market strategies to offer sound financial advice.
- Acts in the best interest of the client and delivers outstanding service.
- Develops and maintains an increasing client base by using well‑developed market knowledge, strategies, and sales skills.
- Maintains product knowledge and stays current of market activity and news affecting the markets.
- Ensures all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and SFIG written procedures related to the securities industry, including completion of required compliance training.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED and one year of experience as a financial advisor.
- Series 7 and 63 license.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to read, interpret, and analyze documents such as procedure manuals, general business correspondence, legal documents, and financial reports.
- Ability to write simple-to‑business correspondence and routine reports.
- Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees in the organization.
- Ability to speak effectively, present information, and respond to questions from groups of clients, customers, employees, managers, top management, boards of directors, and the general public.
- Strong PC knowledge and proficiency with MS Office programs such as Excel and Word.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle a high‑stress environment and maintain professional conduct and appearance.
- Maintain client privacy and keep highly sensitive data confidential.
