Job Description
Hiring Salary:
Salary Commensurate with Education and Experience
Under the direction of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, the Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration develops and coordinates the day-to-day operational, human resources, facilities, communications and internal relations, information management and technology, and budgetary and financial management of the College of Pharmacy. This position functions as a key member of the Dean's management team and acts as the Dean's representative within the college in relation to these functions.
ResponsibilitiesEducation:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting. (Transcript Required)
Experience:
Nine (9) years of progressive experience that includes finance administration, program management, or human resources; OR Master’s Degree and seven (7) years of progressive experience that includes finance administration, program management, or human resources an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. (CPA preferred.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to multitask.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities to meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and a positive and respectful attitude with peers, students, supervisors, administrators, customers, and visitors.
- Advanced experience with automated spreadsheets, financial databases, and a high level of analytical skills.
- Highly proficient computer skills (including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to develop and present financial data and analysis.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects that require demonstrated leadership ability.
- Ability to maintain sensitive, confidential, and personal issues and ethical quandaries.
This position may occasionally be required to work evenings and weekends. May require occasional overnight travel.
