Senior Municipal Credit Analyst

** Essential Duties and Responsibilities** :

+ Monitor and analyze issuer credit quality

+ Monitor and assess general market conditions as well as legislative and regulatory changes that affect the municipal market

+ Ability to produce periodic written material on certain sectors or events that impact the municipal bond market

+ Provide client-related feedback to sales and trading

+ Provide credit and structuring insights to the public finance team and assist with RFP responses, oral presentations, and relationship development

+ Develop relationships across the fixed income platform, including with the issuer and investor communities

** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities** :

+ Candidate must have relevant fundamental credit analysis experience and strong working knowledge of the municipal bond market landscape

+ Expertise in - or ability to pick up knowledge in - various sectors, such as tax-backed, utility, airport, pre-paid gas, and housing

+ Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

+ Ability to work independently as well as with a team

+ Strong organizational skills

+ Ability to prioritize and multi-task

+ Ability to remain flexible with changing priorities

+ Must be confident and comfortable interacting with sales, trading, banking, as well as institutional and issuer clients

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

+ Must be willing and able to travel to visit clients and to participate in public speaking engagements

+ Must be able to provide writing samples

** Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:*
* + Ideal candidate will have a minimum of seven years of relevant municipal credit analysis experience

+ Undergraduate degree required - MBA, CPA, or CFA is preferred

+ Competency with Bloomberg, Word, Excel, and Power Point

** Licenses/Certifications**  **:*
* + Must have Series 52 and 63 licenses, or be willing to obtain them shortly after employment
