- Accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with federal and state regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
- Review and verify prescriptions for dosage accuracy, potential interactions, and contraindications based on patient-specific factors.
- Provide oversight, guidance, and quality assurance for pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate preparation and packaging of medications.
- Maintain complete and compliant documentation for prescriptions, inventory, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with prescribers, pharmacy leadership, and team members to resolve issues and optimize patient outcomes.
- Participate in audits, process improvements, and continuous quality initiatives to enhance pharmacy workflows and ensure patient safety.
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D) from an accredited college of pharmacy. - Active, unrestricted Pharmacist License.
- Eligibility to participate in federal prescription programs (Medicare, Medicaid).
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
- Experience in a high-volume community, mail order, or fulfillment pharmacy.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience using pharmacy management software, barcode verification systems, and EHRs.
