OB​/GYN Phone Operator

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Phone Operator to manage high-volume inbound calls in a fast-paced OB/GYN practice. The ideal candidate is calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and experienced in medical phone systems and patient communication.

• Answer and route high-volume incoming calls professionally and efficiently
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
• Accurately document messages in the EMR for clinical and administrative staff
• Triage calls appropriately and escalate urgent concerns per protocol
• Provide basic information regarding office policies, procedures, and services
• Handle patient inquiries related to prescriptions, referrals, and test results (per protocol)
• Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
• Work closely with clinical and front-office staff to ensure seamless patient flow

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical office or OB/GYN experience strongly preferred
• Experience handling high-volume calls in a healthcare setting
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills
• Ability to multitask and remain professional in stressful situations
• Familiarity with EMR systems and medical terminology preferred
• Dependable attendance and punctuality required

Pay: $17.50 per hour
