Job DescriptionThe Community Counselor/Mental Health Tech provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, individual/family education, and activities of daily living for mental health patients.

- Education: Bachelors Degree in Psychology or related field highly preferred; or high school diploma required. One year of work experience providing direct patient care with knowledge of direct patient care techniques and understanding of mental illness.
- Knowledge: Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships, age‑specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training preferred.
