Recommends and evaluates technical methods and procedures. Executes effective and efficient Laboratory operations. Works assigned shifts and is subject to overtime and call back as required.
Responsibilities- Receives, identifies, organizes and prioritizes specimens to ensure accurate and timely test processing.
- Performs and reports requested laboratory procedures.
- Performs quality control, proficiency testing, routine instrument maintenance and inventory control.
- Evaluates positive patient identification to reduce analytical and post-analytical error and/or adverse patient outcomes.
- Assesses, evaluates and draws appropriate conclusions.
- Evaluates technical methods and procedures.
- Executes effective and efficient Laboratory operations.
- Supports lifelong learning.
- Completes assigned goals.
- Advanced technical and managerial skills.
- Two (2) years of experience as Medical Technologist.
- State Licensures and/or National registration or certification in concordance with current Federal and/or State Regulations.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
- Minimum licensure requires one of AMT, ASCP, or NCA.
- Hospital experience.
- ASCP licensing preferred.
- ASCP license (preferred).
- State Licensures and/or National registration or certification in concordance with current Federal and/or State Regulations.
- Basic computer literacy skills.
- Minimum licensure: AMT, NCA, or ASCP.
- Preferred licensure: ASCP.
