About Synapse Therapy Group

Synapse Speech-Language Pathology Group, PLLC is an SLP-owned small business in Memphis, TN. Our goal is to hire therapists who want to make a difference in the lives of their students, and to support SLPs for success in the school therapy environment.

We are seeking energetic and highly motivated Speech Language Pathologists to join our team of school-based SLPs for the  school year. A successful candidate will work directly with clients, using their knowledge and wide range of skills and techniques to assess, diagnose and treat speech, language, and voice issues.

In-Person positions available only, no teletherapy at this time.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, but Clinical Fellows (CFs) considered
  • Current TN SLP License (or willing to obtain)
  • Current TN Educator License (or willing to obtain)
  • Have a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Pass background check clearance
  • Possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Have the ability to walk, bend, sit, and stand during the work shift
  • Provide own transportation
  • Experience with pediatric populations
Responsibilities:
  • Provide evaluations, develop and implement therapy goals
  • Diagnose speech and language pathologies
  • Act as a liaison and collaborate with other professionals/team members and families to provide well-rounded care
  • Educate students and teachers in proper treatment techniques, including the use of assistive devices
  • Provide written documentation of client services, including but not limited to, writing session notes and uploading them to a database timely
  • Develop or collaborate on the development of the IEP (Individual Education Plan)
