Quality Improvement Analyst

Responsibilities

Position Summary: Assists in the coordination of the overall Quality and Performance Improvement functions. Collects information, prepares reports, and analyzes Quality and PI data. Facilitates the Quality Committee. Performs investigations and reports incidents timely as required. Maintains documentation of investigations and reports. Performs monthly chart audits to ensure regulatory and organizational standards are maintained. Serves as a knowledgeable point of contact during absences of the Director of Regulatory Compliance.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in health care related field required, Master Degree in Social Work or RN, LPN, LPC, LCSW or LMSW license preferred.

Experience: basic accounting principles, computer programming, spreadsheets, specific healthcare processes, etc.

Knowledge: Knowledge of regulatory and compliance guidelines, especially State, TJC, insurance providers, and other licensing and regulatory agencies. Understanding of Quality and Performance Improvement standards and programs. Solid clinical knowledge required for reading and analyzing medical records. Understanding of Quality and Performance Improvement standards and programs. Ability to maintain a professional demeanor during audits, meetings, and while hosting outside agencies. Ability to maintain confidential information regarding patients, investigations, and other sensitive topics.

Proviciency in various computer programs including microsoft Office, EMRs and other databases.
