Job Summary
The Director of Radiology is responsible for the strategic direction, operational oversight, and financial performance of a multi-site imaging services enterprise, including Diagnostic Radiology, CT, Ultrasound, Interventional Radiology, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Echo Lab, and off-site radiology locations. This executive leader drives innovation, operational excellence, and service line growth while ensuring exceptional patient care, quality outcomes, employee engagement, and regulatory compliance.
The Director reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer and partners with hospital and physician leadership to advance organizational priorities and maximize the department's contribution to corporate objectives. This position carries continuous accountability for all radiology operations and associated personnel and resources.
Provides innovative leadership to maximize the entity's contribution to overall corporation performance through effective planning as well as human and financial goals of the corporation. Responsible for assuring entity contribution to overall corporation's mission and goals. Under the direction of the
Administrator. Incumbent is responsible for all shifts, 7 days/week, 24 hours/day. Incumbents are subject to overtime and callback as required.
Job Responsibilities
• E I Plans, implements and markets services which meet the needs of identified internal and external customers through evaluation and assessment of customer needs and expectations resulting in development of improvement plans with measurable goals to enhance services.
• E 2 Provides leadership through facilitating BMHCS vision/values through personal example and interaction with staff to communicate policies and goals, which will result in enhanced employee skills, management, and leadership.
• E 3 Directs overall operational management through assessment of entity's operations and interaction with staff and customers to enhance efficiency and quality of service.
• E 4 Controls overall financial/budgetary management of the entity through evaluation of products and services and analysis of entity operations, implementation of workload standards, review of operations to identify opportunities for cost reduction and enhance profitability and optimal resource utilization.
• E 5 Facilitates customer satisfaction by communicating and interacting with key internal and external customers to identify opportunities for improvement resulting in enhanced service and customer satisfaction.
• E 6 Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.
