This is a full‑time position located at The Guest House at Graceland with variable/flexible working hours to include weekends, evenings, holidays, and overtime as required. Benefits may be offered after successful completion of a sixty (60) introductory period. This is a promotional opportunity and is an internal/external recruitment.
Responsibilities- Register guests following correct procedures and assign rooms while maximizing hotel revenues.
- Collect appropriate fees and book advance reservations.
- Act as switchboard operator, receiving and transferring calls.
- Maintain records of room assignments to advise housekeepers and maintenance workers.
- Answer questions about services, checkout times, the local community and attractions and other matters in a public relations capacity.
- Provide superior guest services and represent the hotel professionally.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of daily hotel operations.
- Prior cash handling and customer service experience.
- Computer proficiency for data input, retrieval, and report compilation.
- Effective communication both in person and on the telephone with a wide variety of individuals.
- Strong organizational skills to determine workload promptly.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under constant pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Diplomacy and tact in discussions with upset guests.
- Problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated superior guest services/relations.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Speak clearly and distinctly in person and on the telephone.
- Lift packages up to twenty‑five (25) lbs.
- Stoop, reach, and climb stairs.
- Stand for long periods.
- Identification badge and uniform required.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well‑groomed appearance at all times.
- Work in a no‑smoking area.
- Work flexible hours, overtime, and holidays.
- Maintain confidentiality.
Experience in the hospitality and/or hotel industry and/or equivalent education in hotel hospitality/business administration.
