We are seeking an experienced Part Time Human Resources Manager to serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert across all people related functions. This role partners closely with executive leadership and managers to provide guidance on human resources best practices, compliance, and employee relations while coordinating with external partners. This role is ideal for a seasoned HR professional looking for a part-time position who values clarity, consistency, and practical solutions and who thrives in a growing, mission driven organization.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as an advisor to leadership on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and HR best practices
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, providing guidance on risk mitigation and proper documentation
- Develop, maintain, and enforce employee handbooks, policies, and procedures aligned with company values
- Act as the primary internal point of contact for benefits brokers, and payroll providers
- Oversee workforce classifications including W2 and 1099 workers and monitor associated per employee and contractor costs
- Manage payroll coordination, employee records, and HR reporting
- Support managers with coaching, performance improvement plans, corrective action, terminations, workplace claims, and investigations
- Lead recruitment and hiring efforts including job descriptions, sourcing, background checks, offers, onboarding, and offboarding
- Support employee engagement, professional development, leadership development, and succession planning
- Support organizational change, restructuring, and culture initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- Five or more years of HR experience.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and compliance.
- Excellent communication, judgment, and problem solving skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and professionalism.
