We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Benefits & HR Business Partner to support day-to-day benefits administration and HR operations. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organized, Excel-proficient, and comfortable working with data, reporting, and process implementations. The individual will assist with insurance administration, HRIS (Paylocity) support, vendor coordination, and weekly reporting on insurance spend.
This position has the potential to transition into a permanent role based on business needs and performance.
Key Responsibilities Benefits Administration- Support daily administration of medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and ancillary benefits
- Assist with new hire enrollments, qualifying life events, and terminations
- Coordinate with insurance carriers and brokers on eligibility and billing matters
- Reconcile insurance invoices and assist in identifying discrepancies
- Track and monitor benefit eligibility and compliance timelines
- Prepare and distribute weekly insurance spend reports
- Track benefit costs by company, brand, and cost center
- Analyze trends and variances in premium spend
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting of benefit expenses
- Maintain organized documentation of carrier invoices and reporting files
- Assist with HRIS (Paylocity) maintenance and updates
- Support benefit system implementations and integrations
- Participate in process improvements related to payroll, benefits, and reporting
- Help maintain accurate employee data within HR systems
- Provide administrative and reporting support to HR leadership
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes
- Maintain confidentiality of employee and company information
- Support special HR projects as assigned
- 2–3 years of HR, benefits, or HRIS experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas required)
- Experience with HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred)
- Experience with insurance billing reconciliation strongly preferred
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working in multi-location or multi-brand environments
- Understanding of benefit compliance (COBRA, eligibility rules, ACA basics)
- Experience with insurance carrier implementations or transitions a plus
- Comfort working with financial data and cost reporting
