OverviewThe Human Resources Business Partner Associate will research, interview, and investigate complaints, claims, and other HR issues; review, develop, administer, and communicate programs; maintain a computerized tracking system; prepare summaries, reports, and other documents; work on projects; and train employees on HR policies, employment laws, and benefits.
Essential Duties- Select personnel for part-time/full-time employment and conduct charge-related conferences and training on labor/fair employment law, policies, and benefit laws.
- Make presentations about Division career opportunities and employment policies.
- Examine employment records, personnel files, job descriptions, complaints, and compile statistical data.
- Prepare analytical reports, investigation summaries, worksheets, and maintain documents, files, and records.
- Work on projects and collect data.
- Consult with management on HR issues.
- Assist in counseling employees and retirees regarding benefits and promotion opportunities, and inform employees of required training.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- A valid driver's license from the state of residence.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience0-2 years professional-level experience in employee relations and equal employment programs or risk management.
Additional Information- Works inside majority of time; subject to hazards associated with conducting interviews and investigations.
- Physical Demands:
Sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities.
