SQL database systems that power latency-sensitive and high-throughput workloads. Working in a cloud-native AWS environment, you will collaborate closely with application development teams, cloud engineers, and Dev Ops professionals to design, optimize, and maintain No

SQL infrastructure that meets the demanding requirements of a global hospitality technology platform. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge database technologies while solving complex operational challenges at enterprise scale.

• Own operational support and lifecycle management for Dynamo
  
  DB and DAX environments supporting PEP
• Partner with PEP application teams to design and validate Dynamo
  
  DB data models, access patterns, and partition strategies
• Manage Dynamo
  
  DB capacity planning, including on-demand vs provisioned throughput, autoscaling, and cost optimization
• Support and operate DAX clusters, including cache behavior tuning, failover considerations, and performance validation
• Design and support low-impact change and deployment strategies for No
  
  SQL workloads
• Monitor No
  
  SQL environments using Cloud Watch and Datadog, identifying performance bottlenecks and availability risks
• Implement security controls including IAM-based access, encryption at rest and in transit, and least-privilege policies
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering and Dev Ops teams using Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code to provision and manage No
  
  SQL resources
• Support incident response and on-call rotations for production No
  
  SQL platforms
• Produce operational documentation, runbooks, and best practices for No
  
  SQL usage across PEP
• Provide guidance on No
  
  SQL vs relational tradeoffs, ensuring appropriate technology choices for application use cases

• Senior-level experience supporting Dynamo
  
  DB in production environments
• Hands-on experience with DAX, including cache behavior, performance tuning, and operational considerations
• Strong understanding of No
  
  SQL data modeling, partitioning, consistency models, and access pattern design
• Experience operating No
  
  SQL systems at scale with high availability and low latency requirements
• Strong knowledge of AWS services including IAM, VPC, Cloud Watch, and KMS
• Experience using Terraform or similar IaC tools to manage Dynamo
  
  DB, DAX, and related infrastructure
• Experience supporting 24/7 production platforms and participating in on-call rotations
• Ability to work independently, troubleshoot complex production issues, and communicate clearly with application teams
• Availability to work U.S. Central Time hours in a remote capacity
• Experience with Couchbase (clusters, XDCR, upgrades, performance tuning) is a strong plus
• Experience with Amazon Document
  
  DB or Mongo
  
  DB-compatible platforms is a strong plus
