Role: Workday Administrator
Compensation
Range: $85,000 – 115,000 annually
Location: Memphis, TN (relocation offered)
Work Schedule: On-site 5 days per week
The Workday Administrator will play a key role in partnering across Information Technology, Human Resources, Payroll, Finance, and Procurement to ensure Workday is fully optimized, reliable, and continually aligned with evolving business needs. This role supports both day‑to‑day system operations and long‑term platform strategy.
Key Responsibilities Workday Configuration & Release Management- Lead ongoing requirements analysis and oversee the design, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Workday configurations for new features, enhancements, and system updates.
- Prepare all functional areas for Workday’s bi‑annual releases, ensuring smooth adoption and minimal disruption.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday production support, including monitoring and responding to tickets, troubleshooting system issues, and resolving errors or unexpected results in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain a wide range of Workday reports, including standard, advanced, matrix, and composite formats.
- Build and manage complex calculated fields, custom objects, and worksheets to support data-driven decision making.
- Act as a subject-matter expert by staying active in the Workday Community and leveraging industry best practices.
- Create and maintain clear, user-friendly job aids and deliver targeted training sessions across departments.
- Oversee tenant management, including Community access, implementer permissions, and system governance to maintain secure and efficient operations.
- Support and monitor existing Workday Enterprise Interface integrations with third‑party vendors to ensure successful execution.
- Configure and execute EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder) uploads as needed.
- Maintain and optimize Security Groups, Roles, Business Processes, and Domain Access configurations to uphold system integrity, compliance standards, and appropriate access across the organization.
- Manage the migration of business processes, configurations, reports, and security components across Workday tenants using the Configuration Console (CC), ensuring accuracy, consistency, and full lifecycle control.
- Contribute to Workday-related implementations, module rollouts, and system upgrades by providing configuration expertise and supporting cross-functional teams.
- U.S. Citizenship or Green Card required for application consideration.
- Workday certification is required (3+ years hands-on Workday administration experience).
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field — or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Proven success collaborating with HR, Payroll, Finance, Procurement, and IT teams.
- Strong background in Workday report writing.
- Broad functional knowledge of Workday modules, such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, Financials, Procurement, and Adaptive Planning.
- Expertise in Workday reporting, calculated fields, security configuration, and business process management.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
