SummaryReporting to the Rentokil Initial (RI) Group DPO, the Group Data Privacy Manager supports the Group DPO in implementing, operating and embedding Data Protection and Information Governance processes across RI businesses.
Primary Objectives- Support the Group DPO with the RI data protection strategy and maintenance of the Global Data Protection/Privacy Framework.
- Complete, review, analyse and update documentation required to support data protection and privacy compliance globally, with focus on North America and LATAM, including:
- Maintaining and updating the content of the Privacy Management Support Tool and associated processes.
- Data Protection Impact and Privacy Assessments, records of processing and Legitimate Interest Assessments.
- Review and update privacy notices/policies.
- Vendor contracts and agreements.
- Due diligence review of vendors.
- Manage Data Subjects Requests and support processes across the Group with Local Privacy Officers (LPOs).
- Manage incident/breach details and work with the DPO, LPOs and key stakeholders on medium and high risk incidents.
- Assist with audit activity required by the Group DPO to measure and report on compliance metrics.
- Manage the global training program and assist with distribution of training materials and privacy communications.
- Identify risks, propose mitigation, update the risk register and escalations to the Group DPO.
- Maintain awareness of global data protection/privacy laws, guidance and best practice.
- Develop cross‑functional partnerships and provide guidance to colleagues on data protection/privacy matters.
- Support and guide pending and actual projects involving personal data processing.
- Identify and develop Local Privacy Officers (LPOs) in regions, acting as point of contact and providing global support.
- Ensure all LPOs receive training, support and guidance to ensure compliance within applicable jurisdictions.
- Operate autonomously under guidance of the Group DPO.
- Personable and able to build relationships worldwide.
- Respond to complex issues such as lawful basis application and data subject request management.
- Analyze processes and systems to ensure accurate data in the Privacy Management Support Tool.
- Organized and able to prioritize activities according to business needs.
- Spanish proficiency is highly beneficial for Latin America responsibilities, but not mandatory.
- Move up to 10 pounds occasionally.

- Communicate verbally at a normal speaking level.
