Mainframe Testing

• Test Design & Execution:Create detailed test plans, scenarios, and scripts, particularly for complex, end-to-end batch processes.
• Data Validation:Run and validate batch jobs, DB2 queries, and file-to-file comparisons.
• Defect Management:Identify, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA, Quality Center, or similar.
• Environment Management:Utilize TSO/ISPF commands, manage datasets, and use File-AID for data manipulation.
• Analysis:Review COBOL/PL1 code, analyze JCL for failures (abends), and check spool logs for root cause analysis.

• Core Mainframe:JCL (Job Control Language), COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM.
• Domain: Knowledge of banking, insurance, or retail systems is often preferred.
• Methodologies:Agile, Dev Ops (CI/CD pipelines), and risk-based testing.

Experience:

5-8 Years

The expected compensation for this role ranges from $60,000 to $135,000.

Final compensation will depend on various factors, including your geographical location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
