COOK SYSTEMS INTERNATIONAL has a Senior Business Analyst – HR and Settlements

Our client is seeking a technically proficient Business Analyst to join our IT department covering the HR and Driver Settlements area. In this role, you'll bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, working closely with stakeholders to analyze requirements, design solutions, and support the implementation of critical IT systems that power our global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Gather, analyze, and document business requirements from stakeholders across our global operations

Translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications for technical teams

Develop data models, process flows, and use cases to effectively communicate requirements

Create context diagrams and solution architectures to visualize system interactions and data flows

Perform data analysis using SQL to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement

Manage and execute system testing and end-to-end testing activities to ensure quality

Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for system validation

Coordinate cross-functional testing teams and report on testing progress and results

Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit requirements and validate solutions

Provide training and support to end-users during system implementations

Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies in transportation logistics

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field

5 years of experience as a Business Analyst and/or Developer in an IT environment

Strong technical application and integration understanding within multiple technologies

Experience with ADP used for payroll and benefit management a plus

Experience with hourly payroll for all types of drivers:
Full Time Employees and Independent Contractors a plus

Strong SQL skills for data extraction, analysis, and reporting

Experience creating context diagrams and visualizing system architectures

Proven experience managing system testing and end-to-end testing processes

Knowledge of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies

Experience with requirements gathering techniques and documentation

Understanding of database concepts and data modeling

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain is preferred

Technical

Skills:

SQL querying and data manipulation

System and context diagramming

Test management and quality assurance methodologies

Familiarity with project management tools (Jira)

Understanding of programming concepts

Knowledge of API integrations and system architecture
