Summary
The Identity Sr. Analyst role is responsible for managing and maintaining enterprise identity and access management systems, ensuring secure and efficient user provisioning, authentication, and authorization across the organization. This senior-level position will partner with an existing senior team member to augment and enhance the current automation capabilities and scripting foundation supporting our 25,000+ user environment. The Sr. Analyst will leverage their expertise in Microsoft identity technologies, Power Shell automation, and project management to advance the maturity and effectiveness of our identity management program.
Responsibilities
- Identity System Management: Designs, implements, and maintains Active Directory and Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and integration across enterprise systems.
- Automation and Scripting: Develops and maintains Power Shell scripts and automation workflows to streamline identity management processes, user provisioning, and access management tasks.
- Microsoft Identity Governance & Administration (IGA): Implements and manages Microsoft IGA solutions including access reviews, entitlement management, privileged identity management, and lifecycle workflows.
- Project Leadership: Leads and manages complex identity-related projects from conception through implementation, coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Collaboration and Mentorship: Partners with existing senior team members to enhance automation capabilities, shares knowledge and best practices, and contributes to the overall advancement of the identity management program.
- User Access Management: Engineers and oversees user provisioning, deprovisioning, and access modification processes to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Analysis and Problem Resolution: Provides expert-level troubleshooting and analysis for complex identity and access management issues, developing innovative solutions to improve system reliability and user experience.
- Security and Compliance: Ensures identity management practices align with security standards, audit requirements, and organizational policies, implementing controls to protect against unauthorized access.
- Documentation and Process Development: Creates and maintains comprehensive documentation for identity management processes, procedures, and system configurations.
- Completes all other duties as assigned.

Education
Minimum: BS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent years of experience
Experience
- Preferred: Preferred experience managing identity and access management in large enterprise environments (15,000+ users)
- Preferred: Preferred experience in healthcare and academia environments
- Preferred: Preferred experience with hybrid cloud/on-premises identity architectures
- Preferred: Preferred experience with identity governance and compliance frameworks
- Minimum: 7-10 years of identity and access management experience
- Minimum: 5+ years of hands‑on Active Directory administration experience
- Minimum: 3+ years of Microsoft Entra (Azure AD) experience
Licensure, Registration, Certification
Preferred: Microsoft Certified:
Identity and Access Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified:
Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals, or related Microsoft identity certifications.
Special Skills
- Preferred: Demonstrated experience leading identity transformation projects, conference presentations, or community contributions to identity management practices.
- Minimum: Active Directory Expertise:
Advanced knowledge of Active Directory design, implementation, and administration including Group Policy, DNS, LDAP, and federation services. - Minimum: Microsoft Entra y:
Extensive experience with Entra , conditional access policies, application integration, and hybrid identity scenarios. - Minimum: Power Shell Automation:
Expert-level Power Shell scripting capabilities for identity management automation, including experience with Power Shell modules for Active Directory and Microsoft Graph. - Minimum: Microsoft IGA
Experience:
Hands‑on experience implementing and managing Microsoft Identity Governance & Administration solutions including Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Access Reviews, and Entitlement Management. - Minimum: Project Management
