We are currently seeking an IT-experienced individual in Memphis, TN. You will be part of the Technician Support Team.
A Tuesday‑Saturday schedule with third‑shift hours and great benefits.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport role to the extent permitted by Fed Ex and using processes and technologies approved by Fed Ex.
- Requests include break/fix for PCs, laptops, tablets, desk phones, printers
- Set up / configuration of new devices
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Phone consultation, intermediary between end users and Fed Ex technical support (Infosec, email, networking, encryption, wireless)
- Asset disposal and data security
- Troubleshoot consumer replaceable hardware, BIOS, Driver, OS, Fed Ex Software
- One Drive Setup and migrations w/ One Note Cloud Sharing
- Attempt Data Recovery on failed systems
- Troubleshooting skills (encryption, password issues)
- Mac LAN / WAN connectivity troubleshooting, Network Troubleshooting task
- Diagnose cabling issues
- Network port connectivity verifications
- Networking component swapouts (Router, Switch, WAP)
- Ability to become familiar with Fed Ex approved hardware
- Cisco VOIP installation and troubleshooting support
- LAN / WAN support and troubleshooting
- Ability to utilize TACACS to view switch information
- Ability to utilize NetDB to perform port assignments
- Customer Communication Skills
- Ability to maintain composure with challenging customers
- Able to direct customers to correct support groups
- Sense of urgency
- Need Spotlight and Tech Service KB access
- Freight – Level of support provided prior to Execnet
- Break/Fix / Temp replacements
- Cell support – tech setup/troubleshooting of cell phones (non mgmt. included)
- Ready and assist with video conferencing equipment
- Will have some assistance with Video Conference Room support
- Maintain Video Conference Equipment
- Point of contact for Level 3 video conferencing – Point to point bridging
- Networking – Troubleshoot, cross‑connects, monitor port utilization, Wireless AP swap‑out, Switch Install/Swap‑out
- Cisco VOIP support (Install / Troubleshooting)
- Intermediary between multiple support groups
- Setup and troubleshoot new‑tech non‑standard devices (Typically PC equipment, accessories)
- Setup and troubleshoot Apple Devices (iPhone, iPad, Mac Book, iMac, Mac Mini)
- Familiarity with new technologies such as MDM/Intune/cloud computing
- A minimum of one (1) year of computer experience,
required - High school diploma or GED equivalent,
required
- Third shift schedule (10 PM to 6:30 AM)
- Tuesday through Saturday
