Program Manager, Royalty & Payments , Amazon Publishing

Job :  |  Services LLC

Are you a customer‑obsessed Program Manager with a passion for ensuring a best‑in‑class experience for content creators? Amazon Publishing is seeking a meticulous and forward‑thinking Program Manager to join our Royalty & Payments team. This team focuses on the planning, execution, and delivery of our royalty and payment commitments globally.

Key Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will own a portfolio of operational programs including payee onboarding, subrights payment quality assurance, author and rights holder support, team performance metrics, and partner team process monitoring. The position requires an understanding of current and future technologies needed to deliver the end‑to‑end process—contracts, payee setup, payment troubleshooting, customer‑facing payment resolutions, and metrics collection and reporting. This role is inherently cross‑functional and works closely with multiple teams—including Finance, Tax, Contracts, Author Relations, Editorial, Vendor Management, and Product—to drive operational efficiencies.

We’re looking for a candidate with a strong customer focus, the judgment to dive deep into operational issues, the ability to identify and address root causes with internal stakeholders and external customers, and the drive to inspect and improve processes while consistently delivering results. Most importantly, you should be excited to join a small team that makes a big impact.

Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross‑functionally with tech and non‑tech teams
  • Intermediate level Excel knowledge (pivot tables, charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of driving end‑to‑end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
