IT Process Engineer II
This role drives the design and implementation of IT processes, leading project efforts to build and deploy these processes across the entire IT organization. It also manages day‑to‑day operational activities focused on change, configuration, incident, and problem management, supporting service level management, service and software delivery life cycle (SDLC), and the Test Lift Cycle using ITIL as the framework.
Responsibilities- Drive the assessment, planning, and authorization of changes to the IT production environment.
- Minimize service disruption from improper change implementation.
- Identify and prevent root causes of incidents; focus on incident prevention.
- Provide accurate data and support for all related processes, including configuration items and their relationships.
- Establish relationships within IT and across Jabil to understand process requirements and ensure efficient integration.
- Design and implement processes, related tools, and methodologies that are cost efficient, timely, and aligned with corporate strategy.
- Develop process tools and templates to ensure consistency and effectiveness.
- Ensure process participants consistently follow standards, policies, business roles, and procedures.
- Maintain concise process documentation and an accurate information repository.
- Administer and operate processes and associated tools at global, regional, and site levels; facilitate or chair related meetings.
- Define and monitor process controls to comply with audit requirements and compliance programs (e.g., Sarbanes‑Oxley).
- Communicate progress with upper‑level management and propose improvement steps.
- Develop KPIs and other metrics; prepare and analyze process management reports.
- Lead teams on process and tool improvement initiatives across the IT organization.
- Develop training materials, conduct training sessions, and mentor on process utilization.
- Ensure customer satisfaction with process utilization and outcomes.
- Provide regular updates to managers and encourage team input.
- Identify cost‑saving opportunities through streamlining processes and systems.
- Drive continuous improvement via trend reporting, analysis, and metrics management.
- Ensure work instructions are efficient and eliminate redundancies.
- Suggest and implement best‑practice processes and new practices.
- Demonstrate customer service commitment by solving problems swiftly.
- Establish new measurement systems where possible.
- Share best practices across Jabil facilities.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including Health, Safety, and Quality.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding proprietary information.
- Interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or scheduled instructions.
- Understand and support the business and IT strategic direction.
- Follow all security and safety rules and regulations as directed by supervisors.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of overall IT experience.
- Customer service and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal directions and coordinate multiple resources.
- Process-oriented workflow design experience.
- Experience with process and tool changes.
- Independent and team‑oriented work style.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Proficiency with ITIL frameworks and related processes.
Use computer equipment for extended periods; sit or stand for extended periods; perform visual tasks such as reading technical materials and using monitors. Ability to walk, reach, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs routinely, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Work EnvironmentPrimary workstation in an office area with some time on the manufacturing floor. Noise level ranges from low to moderate.
