Job Description

The Depot Support Technician will be supporting Memphis HQ with daily activities as directed. Responsibilities include timely reporting to work as scheduled; maintaining raw materials inventory, making boxes, packing boxes, labeling boxes, transporting boxes for shipment, testing monitors, imaging computers as needed. This position reports directly to the IT Manager of Support Services.

  • Primary responsibility is maintaining shipping supplies.
  • Making boxes and packing for safe transport.
  • Shipping equipment to new employees.
  • Being present and available to Depot operations.
  • Follow standard Depot operating procedures; accurately packing and labeling boxes. processes.
  • Become familiar with New-Hire Kit process and preparation.
  • Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager of Support Services.

  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within a supervised environment.

Operational:

  • Take ownership and responsibility of issues from start through to a successful resolution.
  • Escalate issues and involve experts wherever required in-order to resolve issues as quickly as possible.
  • Provide accurate work in fast-paced environment.
  • Develop sound understanding of New-Hire Kit process and Depot operations process.
  • Develop technical knowledge of each system within the company.
  • Maintain adequate knowledge of operating systems and application software used to provide a high level of support.
  • Maintains and consistently demonstrates a general knowledge of shipping processes, practices and procedures.

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on listening and questioning skills
  • Provide support for shipping computers, monitors and peripheral devices.
  • When the restoration is beyond the scope of the Depot Support Tech, he/she will escalate the issue/problem to proper tier 2 support team members.
  • Ensure courteous, timely and effective resolution of shipping issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Life experience 1-2 years’ work experience in the warehouse or an equivalent combination of experience, required.
  • Ability to prioritize work based on department and production objectives.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work and make decisions independently in a fast-paced environment
