- Provide highly visible onsite and remote technical support within assigned regions for Zimmer Biomet Surgical Devices.
- Handle, maintain, install, and support devices, including serving as a key player in complaint investigations and troubleshooting with on‑site Zimmer Biomet sales representatives in the operating room.
- Assist in site installations, troubleshooting, upgrading and field repair.
- Assess technical problems and find solutions or elevate questions appropriately in high‑pressure situations.
- Act as a liaison between Zimmer Biomet and end customers regarding product performance.
- Demonstrate critical thinking in assessing performance and risks associated with installed medical devices.
- Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner and maintain professional communication.
- Provide product feedback and improvements to quality and R&D.
- Manage and maintain company equipment and documents necessary for servicing activities.
- Provide onsite support for product demonstrations and educational initiatives to build regional and national market awareness.
- High School Diploma required; AAS in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or Laboratory Equipment preferred. Technology or equivalent trade school, hospital, military, or other experience preferred.
- 2‑4 years of experience in field support, engineering, or other customer‑facing functions, preferably with a medical device company. Combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds independently.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical issues to a largely non‑technical audience.
- Independently work without specific direction on daily activities.
- Proficiently determine one’s own schedule based on business needs.
- Apply technical knowledge to solve varied and complex problems, potentially ones not previously encountered.
- Regularly collaborate with others to suggest valuable solutions as an active contributor.
- Demonstrate mutual respect and a positive outlook with both internal team members and customers.
- Strong proactive organizational skills.
- Prior experience with medical device software (preferred).
- Project management skills (preferred).
- Strong computer and technological skills (preferred).
- Strong customer focus and commitment to high levels of customer satisfaction.
Up to 20% travel. Applicants should be willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Compensation$63,000 – $70,000 USD + benefits. Salary range: $60,000 – $75,000.
