Data Center Engineer

Our client, located in Memphis, TN, is currently in need of a Data Center Engineer for a 12 month contract. The consultant will work onsite in support of data center operations, documentation and troubleshooting.

• Provide day-to-day data center operational support
• Escort and coordinate with dispatched field engineers
• Manage parts shipping, receiving, and inventory
• Maintain and update environment documentation (serial numbers, elevations, runbooks, etc.)
• Coordinate with colocation teams for power, cooling, and facility maintenance activities
• Execute customer-directed system and version updates
• Proactively monitor servers and notify customers of issues
• Open and manage service requests; triage and coordinate break/fix activities with Dell support
• Perform troubleshooting, log collection, and follow vendor-recommended resolutions
• Support firmware upgrades and hardware break/fix activities
• Handle parts replacement and hardware deployment
• Perform OS installation, GPU configuration, and any testing
• Conduct system testing and validation to ensure operational readiness
• Handle random or urgent issues as they arise, serving as flexible escalation and coordination point.

• Ability to work onsite in Memphis, TN 100%
• Basic network experience
• Basic server experience
• Linux log experience

The expected hourly rate range for this role is: $25 – 45 per hour. The posted range is an estimate, the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
