Information Technology Technician

Overview

PROMAN Staffing is happy to support our global manufacturing client in sourcing and hiring a Debug Technician to join their team in Memphis, TN
.

This DIRECT HIRE position requires the ability to obtain a passport and travel to Mexico for approximately two months of training before transitioning into the Memphis-based role.

• Perform advanced board-level troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair on complex server and data center PCBAs.
• Analyze failures using schematics, BIOS logs, diagnostic software, and advanced test equipment, including oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• Execute component-level repairs and BGA rework while maintaining quality, ESD, and safety standards.
• Conduct root cause analysis, identify failure trends, and drive corrective actions to improve yield and repair performance.
• Partner with engineering teams to enhance debug processes, documentation, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical guidance to less experienced technicians.

• 5+ years of experience repairing enterprise servers, storage, or networking hardware.
• Strong understanding of server power architecture, VRM design, DDR memory, PCIe interfaces, and signal integrity.
• Ability to read and interpret complex schematics and PCB layouts.
• Experience working with high-value electronic components in a manufacturing or repair environment.
