Senior Infrastructure Engineer - FortiGate, AWS, Microsoft 365 Intune

KORE1 is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Forti Gate, AWS, Microsoft 365, & Intune to join a rapidly growing, multi-site organization undergoing a major IT infrastructure transformation.

This is a highly hands-on role focused on modernizing infrastructure, reducing reliance on managed service providers, and establishing standardized, secure, and scalable IT environments across multiple locations.

Location: Memphis, TN

Travel: Up to 50% during the first 60-90 days, decreasing to approximately 10-25% thereafter.

As a senior member of the IT Infrastructure team, you will serve as a technical leader responsible for executing infrastructure projects from planning through deployment.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead hands‑on installation, configuration, and deployment of network and server infrastructure across multiple locations.
• Perform rack‑and‑stack installations, hardware mounting, cabling, equipment cutovers, and infrastructure build‑outs.
• Configure, deploy, and support Forti Gate firewalls, routing, switching, wireless networks, VPNs, and network security.
• Implement and troubleshoot IPSec VPNs, site‑to‑site connectivity, firewall policies, firmware upgrades, and security hardening.
• Administer and modernize Microsoft 365, Entra , Intune, Windows Autopilot, and cloud‑first identity management. Support the migration away from legacy on‑prem Active Directory, VMware, and Hyper‑V environments as they are decommissioned.
• Support multiple AWS IaaS environments, including EC2 administration, networking, documentation, cleanup of legacy environments, and infrastructure optimization.
• Execute Microsoft Intune deployments, Windows Autopilot provisioning, endpoint lifecycle management, and device migrations to Entra .
• Configure and support Microsoft 365 security, including email security, DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and identity protection best practices.
• Participate in enterprise phone system migrations, site cutovers, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation, network diagrams, asset inventories, standard operating procedures, backup and disaster recovery documentation, and infrastructure standards to support a scalable internal IT organization.
• Travel to multiple company locations to lead infrastructure deployments and provide onsite technical leadership.
• Take ownership of projects from implementation through successful production deployment.

We’re seeking a well‑rounded Infrastructure Generalist who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and taking ownership of projects. The ideal candidate comes from an MSP, manufacturing, or multi‑site enterprise environment and is comfortable working independently, traveling to remote sites, and performing hands‑on deployment work.

Success in this role requires someone who can confidently install a firewall, migrate a site, troubleshoot network issues, modernize legacy infrastructure, and complete projects with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to roll up your sleeves are essential.

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 5-10+ years of hands‑on experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Systems Administration, Network Engineering, or a similar infrastructure‑focused role.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Entra , Microsoft Intune, Windows Autopilot, and modern endpoint/device management in a cloud‑first environment.
