Field Engineer – On Site

• Provide on-site technical support to clients and ensure reliable technology resolutions
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems in various environments
• Provide both onsite and remote IT support directly to Enable clients
• Troubleshoot a wide range of client IT issues
• Conduct technology projects
• Build client relationships through active listening and empathetic behavior
• Explain complex technical concepts in an accessible way for clients of all skill levels
• Exercise thoughtful planning, careful execution, effective teamwork, and strong relationship-building while resolving issues and conducting projects

• Must live in the Knoxville, TN area
• 3+ years in an IT support role troubleshooting Tier II – Tier III tickets
• Current experience supporting Microsoft 365 applications
• Proven knowledge creating and managing users, groups, and objects within Active Directory and/or Entra
• Working knowledge of electronic ticketing systems
• Windows and macOS operating systems support
• Basic networking concepts including DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, and IP routing
• LAN & WAN architecture and troubleshooting
• Windows server management
• Virtualization using Hyper-V or similar
• Experience with computer setup and configuration for Mac and PC
• Microsoft 365 administration
• Remote administration concepts and tools
• Disaster recovery and backup technology
• Active Directory, security and distribution groups, and group policy
• Windows-based print servers
• Ability to undergo and pass a background check in accordance with state and federal laws
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.

• Preferred: VLAN, QoS, and LAG network configuration

• Preferred: professional certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications
• Preferred: bachelor’s degree in a related area of study

Demonstrates expertise in providing on-site and remote IT support, with a strong focus on troubleshooting, Microsoft 365 administration, and Active Directory management. Capable of building client relationships through effective communication and empathetic behavior while executing technology projects.
