Project Manager (Memphis, TN - One week a month onsite)

Optomi, in partnership with a leading research hospital, is looking for a Project Manager to support complex infrastructure and technology initiatives within the Research Information Services team. The Project Manager will oversee technical projects supporting science research, including HPC hardware, data center/colocation environments, laboratory instruments, cloud technologies, and Dev Ops. This role requires a strong technical PM who can manage complex projects, communicate with executive and technical stakeholders, and drive initiatives through successful implementation.

• Managing complex technology and infrastructure projects
• Supporting innovative research within a leading healthcare organization
• Working cross-functionally with technical, research, and executive teams

• 7+ years of project management experience and an active PMP
• Experience managing infrastructure/data center installations, ideally including HPC
• Direct experience with Dev Ops projects and workflows
• Knowledge of Azure/cloud, networking, virtualization, and Agile methodologies
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, and change management skills
• Experience with Service Now PPM, Azure Dev Ops, or Jira
• Healthcare, academic research, or scientific environment experience is a plus

• Manage infrastructure and development projects from planning through implementation
• Coordinate HPC hardware, data center/Colo, cloud, and laboratory technology deployments
• Partner with technical teams and stakeholders to manage scope, requirements, timelines, risks, and dependencies
• Provide project updates and presentations to leadership
• Facilitate communication across technical and research teams and navigate changing priorities
