Position Overview
Logistics Coordinator located in Memphis, TN. The role supports distribution centers through transportation planning for furniture and inbound networks. Excellent multi‑tasking, organizational skills, and proactive attitude are required.
Key Responsibilities- Follow a load plan and assign carriers per routing guide.
- Manage time across emails, load planning, metrics updating, and communication with carriers, DCs and hubs.
- Track loads from pickup to delivery.
- Maintain trailer pools for carriers and DCs.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose in‑transit issues for all loads from DC.
- Respond to emails in a timely manner and organize solutions based on urgency.
- Participate in conference calls with corporate partners, freight carriers, warehouses, final‑mile hubs, and stores.
- Run and update reports as needed within various applications.
- Extract data to create reports and distribute to internal and external business partners.
- Operate and switch between multiple DC interfaces as needed.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in logistics or supply chain industry.
- At least 1 year of proficient experience in MS Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
- Ability to work well with others and support team goals.
- Maintain flexibility and accept other duties as assigned while conducting business in a professional manner at all times.
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
- Associate degree in a related field.
- Basic knowledge of TMS and Yardview.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, and climb stairs or ladders.
- Able to sit for a long period of time.
- Must use a computer for extended periods.
- Repetitive hand and finger movements to operate computer, phone, and keyboard.
