At Newberry Tanks, our success depends on having the right materials available at the right time. We're seeking a Materials Planning & Procurement Specialist who can balance inventory, supplier performance, cost, and production requirements to ensure a reliable flow of materials across the organization. If you're analytical, proactive, and experienced in manufacturing supply chains, you'll play a key role in improving inventory performance, supporting production schedules, and driving continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for an experienced supply chain professional who enjoys analyzing data, solving problems, collaborating across departments, and making decisions that directly impact production performance and business results.

What You'll Do
  • Analyze demand, inventory, and MRP data to determine purchasing priorities and supply actions.
  • Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address delivery or capacity challenges.
  • Balance inventory investment, material availability, lead times, and operating costs.
  • Partner with Operations and Engineering to support new products, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What Success Looks Like
  • Reliable material availability and fewer shortages
  • Improved supplier performance and delivery reliability
  • Reduced excess and obsolete inventory
  • Stable production schedules that support on-time customer delivery
What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone with strong planning, procurement, and analytical skills who can make sound business decisions in a manufacturing environment.

  • 5+ years of materials planning, procurement, supply chain, or inventory management experience in manufacturing
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems (Sage preferred)
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Knowledge of inventory planning concepts, including lead times, safety stock, Kanban, and replenishment methods
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferred
Why Newberry Tanks?

This is more than a traditional purchasing role. You'll have the opportunity to influence inventory strategy, supplier performance, and material availability across the organization while partnering with Operations, Engineering, and leadership to improve business performance.
