Masis Professional Group is assisting our client in searching for a Direct Hire, Strategic Sourcing Manager.

Our client is a food manufacturing company in Memphis, TN.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for leading the sourcing, supplier management, and category execution activities for assigned ingredient categories across the company.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager works alongside a peer Strategic Sourcing Manager, with responsibility for a defined portion of the ingredient portfolio.

The Strategic Sourcing Manager will leverage market intelligence, supplier relationships, and commercial expertise to drive cost savings, improve supplier performance, mitigate risk, and support business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute sourcing strategies for assigned ingredient categories.
Lead supplier selection activities, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and supplier evaluations.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships focused on performance, quality, service, and innovation.
Monitor commodity markets, industry trends, cost drivers, and supply risks impacting assigned categories.
Identify and implement cost savings, cost avoidance, and value engineering opportunities.
Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, and Commercialization teams to support business objectives.
Support innovation and new product development initiatives through supplier engagement.
Develop risk mitigation and business continuity plans for key ingredients and suppliers.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract requirements, and sourcing processes.
Present sourcing recommendations, supplier performance, and market updates to leadership.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
5-10 years of strategic sourcing, procurement, or category management experience.
Food manufacturing, ingredient sourcing, or consumer packaged goods experience required.
Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Must be 18 years or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree or CPSM, CPM, CSCP, APICS, or similar certification.
Experience with ingredient markets, commodity analysis, and cost modeling.
Experience utilizing ERP systems, Power BI, and procurement analytics tools.
