Maintenance Technician – Encompass Health

• Keep up with state and local codes, ensuring no more than two infractions per review period.
• Maintain skills related to carpentry, telephone repair, stationary engineering, and computers.
• Maintain working knowledge of all facility systems and applicable regulatory standards.
• Handle security functions including rounds and report writing as appropriate.
• Perform routine and isolation cleaning procedures according to infection control standards.
• Understand and institute cleanliness and sanitation standards.
• Maintain and monitor equipment and supplies; store all supplies in proper areas.
• Collaborate with Nursing and Admissions to ensure patient rooms are ready for arrival.
• Demonstrate competent use of proper body mechanics in all activities.
• Complete floor care including stripping, buffing, waxing and carpet care.

• Valid driver's license may be required.
• High school graduate or equivalent work experience.
• Previous experience in preventative maintenance and housekeeping preferred.
