• Keeps up with state and local codes, ensuring no more than two infractions per review period.
• Maintains skills related to carpentry, telephone repair, stationary engineering, and computers.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all facility systems and all applicable regulatory standards.
• Handles security functions including rounds and report writing as appropriate.
• Performs routine and isolation cleaning procedures according to infection control standards.
• Understands and institutes standards for cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maintains and monitors equipment and supplies; stores all supplies in proper areas.
• Collaborates with Nursing and Admissions to ensure patient rooms are ready for patient arrivals.
• Demonstrates competent use of proper body mechanics in all activities.
• Completes floor care including stripping, buffing, waxing, and carpet maintenance.

• Valid driver's license may be required.
• High school graduate or equivalent work experience required.
• Previous experience in preventative maintenance and housekeeping preferred.
