Facilities Assistant

Our client, a leading logistics and facilities management organization, is seeking a Facilities Assistant to join their team. As a Facilities Assistant, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting operational excellence and facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will demonstrate reliability, technical aptitude, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Memphis, Tennessee

2+ Month contract with possibility of extension

Mon-Fri 4pm-12:30am

• Perform maintenance and repair duties on conveyor systems and associated equipment including printers, strappers, lidders, and power tools as directed by the Facility Manager & Lead.
• Support weather response efforts and assist in troubleshooting conveyor electronics to ensure smooth operations.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on dock doors, levelers, and dock locks to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Assist with facilities inspections, light electrical and plumbing tasks, and operate power equipment for setup and operational support.
• Inspect freezers and coolers daily, report findings, and support testing procedures and external vendor interactions.

• Any mechanical skills or experience with facility maintenance are preferred.
• Ability to perform light electrical and plumbing tasks as directed.
• Comfort operating power equipment and performing inspections.
• Reliable transportation to be onsite Monday through Friday, 4 pm to 12:30 am.
• Willingness to support 24/7 on-call responsibilities and weather response activities.
