Floor Finisher; 3rd shift

• Cleans soft and hard floors using electric and battery-powered equipment. Maintains high standards of detail, cleanliness, sanitation, and infection control, free from hazards.
• Complies with established personal protective equipment requirements to protect against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation, asbestos, and other hazardous substances.
• Schedule:
  
  Tuesday - Saturday 11 pm - 7:30 am.
• Perform basic tasks in your area (e.g., cleaning, moving equipment and furniture, and floor care maintenance) under direct supervision.
• Perform basic tasks related to moving biohazardous waste for proper disposal and moving and removing regular trash to designated waste receptacles.
• Assist in maintaining any personal protective equipment deemed appropriate for use through job hazard assessments in good condition.
• Help provide patients, visitors, and health sciences staff with a safe, clean environment.
• Support the maintenance of cleanliness, sanitation, and freedom from hazards and infections.
• Complete hard-surface floor refinishing with meticulous attention to detail and consistency.
• Complete proper carpet cleaning and maintenance with meticulous attention to detail and consistency.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet the department and institution's goals and objectives.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Consistently meet job expectations, adhere to policies, and deliver quality work while applying St. Jude values and principles.

High School Diploma/GED preferred.

Experience in environmental services preferred.

• Understanding of environmental regulations, laws, and standards preferred.
• Basic knowledge of biohazardous and/ or hazardous waste management preferred.
• Hard Surface and Carpet Care experience preferred.
