Director of Client Engagement – Pharmaceutical Industry

We’re hiring a Director of Client Engagement to take full ownership of key customer relationships while guiding a team of Account Managers and Project Managers. You will be part of the site leadership team whilst managing a small team.
This is a role for someone who builds, improves, and genuinely owns their function, someone who leads from the front and elevates both the customer experience and internal operational discipline.
What You’ll Do- Take accountability for major customer relationships, driving real resolution - not just conversations.
- Stay closely connected to daily operations, acting as the link between clients and internal teams.
- Design, refine, and implement customer‑facing processes, documentation, and feedback mechanisms.
- Represent the customer at the leadership level while balancing expectations with operational realities.
- Lead and develop a team of Customer Account Managers and Project Managers
- Ensure clarity, ownership, and execution across both account management and project work.
- 8+ years of experience in customer facing leadership roles within pharma, pharma services, clinical supply, CDMO/CMO, or other regulated environments.
- Strong background in areas such as customer operations, account management, supply chain, project management, or clinical operations.
- Experience handling demanding customer relationships with professionalism and confidence.
- A leadership style that is steady, grounded, and mature, able to navigate tough conversations with honesty and composure.
- A collaborative mindset that naturally brings teams together rather than operating in isolation.
This is not an escalation role, it’s a true leadership position where you set the tone, build predictable processes, and empower your team to deliver consistently excellent customer experiences.
