A gracious, philanthropic private family seeks a polished and highly capable Estate Manager to oversee their primary residence in Memphis. This is a well-run, established home and the expectation is continuity, refinement, and stewardship.
The EM reports directly to the principals and serves as the primary point of contact for household staff and operations. The EM will partner closely with the high-functioning and tenured team and trusted vendors to ensure seamless daily operations and elevated service.
The ideal candidate is a relationship-driven leader with a high EQ, calm authority, strong judgment, and a service-first mindset. Comfortable in a formal private home, this individual leads with a refined presence, knows when to be hands‑on and when to delegate, and takes time to learn the principals' preferences, systems, and team dynamics before implementing change.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee the primary residence and coordinate with colleagues at other residences to ensure elevated standards are upheld and the residences are always "guest‑ready."
- Lead the household staff in daily operations, training, and performance reviews.
- Source and supervise established vendors for specialized maintenance.
- Coordinate travel logistics, largely private.
- Alongside the Chef, manage special events and entertainment in the residences.
- Develop and manage annual operating budgets, oversee household expenditures, and validate vendor work for payment.
- Understand and oversee residential technology and seasonal preparations.
You are a "service-first" professional who understands that no detail is too small and no challenge is too complex.
- A minimum of 5 years in private estate management or ultra‑luxury hospitality.
- An unwavering commitment to the privacy of the principals and the security of their residences.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a working knowledge of smart‑home systems and residential infrastructure.
- A proven track record of managing diverse teams with a fair, decisive, and professional manner.
- Adaptability:
The flexibility to occasionally travel between properties and adjust your schedule to meet the needs of a dynamic estate. - Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Valid Driver's License.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly structured and professional Family Office environment. You will be supported by a robust administrative team (HR, Payroll, IT, Legal), allowing you to focus on the art of estate management and the delivery of exceptional service.
Location and Schedule- You will work from the Memphis residence. This is an in‑person role.
- Generally, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
- Flexibility required for evenings, weekends, and special events.
- Serve as primary POC for the family so responsiveness to after‑hours calls is important.
- Possible travel to out‑of‑state residences.
- Total annual compensation: $180,000 - $200,000, commensurate with experience.
