The Senior Manager, AMER S&LP (Security and Loss Prevention) is a key salaried position, accountable for delivery of security as a service to a sub region composed of multiple clusters of operational sites across end-to-end supply chain. The Senior Manager reports to the Director, AMER S&LP and is responsible for leading a team of Cluster Loss Prevention Managers within their sub region.
Key Responsibilities- Lead teams to achieve strategic goals and objectives within the sub region
- Manage relevant risks within your sub region (prevention, intervention, investigation)
- Engage senior management within your sub region to ensure a positive working relationship, understand opportunities to support, and provide security risk guidance
- Analyze and develop solutions to complex and ambiguous business challenges, making decisions that drive the organization’s long‑term strategy and success
- Foster open communication and align shared goals across multiple business units in order to drive program development, drive harmony and cohesion in the workplace
- Lead through change management processes by clearly communicating rationale, actively soliciting feedback and providing necessary support and resources to ensure a smooth transition
- Hire, develop and retain leaders who raise the performance bar by playing an active role in their personal and professional growth and development
Domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time. Work in an industrial environment that requires walking up to 5 miles a day and ability to lift up to 20 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation. This role covers 24/7 operations and must be able to work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
A Day in the LifeAs a Senior Manager, AMER S&LP, you are responsible for leading a team of Cluster Loss Prevention Managers within your sub‑region. You are accountable for the performance of Security and Loss Prevention within your sub‑region by ensuring all sites are compliant with security, loss prevention and physical security standards. You assess risks to ensure meeting service‑level agreements with your internal customers and proactively avoid adverse impact to the business.

Worldwide Operations Security (WWOS) is the global organization that supports field Loss Prevention and is designed to support Amazon’s Worldwide Operations, as well as affiliate and retail businesses, by creating and maintaining a work environment that is both prepared and secure through global security centers of excellence staffed by subject matter experts in people and asset protection. We accomplish this by creating policy and implementation guidelines;
training leadership and staff; using technology to eliminate subjectivity, complexity, and variation; identifying, preparing for, and mitigating risk; and auditing our practices to ensure compliance.
- Experience in security service, loss prevention, asset protection, audit, investigations, law enforcement, risk management, data analytics, inventory control, quality assurance or a related field
- Experience managing people including development, hiring, performance management, and leading teams dispersed across various regions
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 7+ years of relevant professional or military experience
- Relevant multi‑site experience with varied business types such as logistics, warehouses and/or distribution centers
- Relevant experience with physical security systems, investigation techniques, and/or management of contract security officers
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma concepts or PMP certification
- Interviewing experience;
Wicklander and Zulawski, LPQ, CPP, LPC, CFI or other relevant certifications - Relevant experience in business writing and communicating with a wide range of senior stakeholders
- Workplace incident mitigation or de‑escalation and Business Continuity planning experience
