Bench Grounds Manager Job Summary

The Bench position will provide management support to new and existing SSC accounts in K-12 or higher education settings. Travel is required and can be significant, including overnight stays. Candidates must be open to relocating outside of the Arizona area.

• Implement schedules for the management of athletic fields and grounds, including cultural management plans and set‑ups.
• Assist in procurement of all materials required to administer a validated management program using approved vendors and within approved protocols.
• Set up and take down field(s).
• Assist in the development and implementation of plans for emergency response due to inclement weather (e.g., hurricane, tornado, or other catastrophes).
• Implement Standard Operating Procedures, follow all protocols, and implement Quality Assurance plans.
• Implement training protocols for regulatory compliance, safety, and technical needs.
• Document and record all training.
• Maintain impeccable records of all actions taken to manage identified pests, abatement, or application processes.
• Perform light maintenance and repair of equipment.

• Minimum of a two‑year degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, or a related field, or related experience.
• Good written (report writing) and oral communication (public speaking) skills.
• Efficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or other compatible programs.
• Ability to promote awareness of management programs.
• Ability to obtain a pesticide license within six months from hire in the categories: core, turf, and ornamentals.
