Materials Management Leadership
Provides leadership over the materials management departments. Responsible for the management and purchasing of all medical/surgical supplies, linen, medical equipment, services and capital assets for the hospitals. Responsible for assuring departmental contribution to overall hospital performance and the organization's mission and goals. Under the administrative direction of the corporate supply chain department and hospital CFO. Incumbent is responsible for all shifts, 7 days/week, 24 hours/day and subject to overtime and callback as required by hospitals.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring supply needs of customers and developing improvement plans with measurable goals to enhance services.
- Promoting BMHCC vision/values through personal example and interaction with staff and ensuring compliance with BMHCC policies and procedures.
- Directing overall operation of materials management departments and working with staff and customers to enhance efficiency and quality of service.
- Controlling overall financial/budgetary management of the department through analysis of departmental operations and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.
- Communicating and interacting with staff and key customers to improve customer satisfaction.
- Performing related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed.

Experience:
Minimum
Required:
- At least 2 years of relevant leadership experience
Preferred/Desired:
- Experience in healthcare with demonstrated abilities to direct team activities as well as in basic business applications.

- Bachelor's Degree

- M.S./M.B.A. with 4 years experience. B.S. with 6 years experience.
