Provides strategic leadership for facility planning, focusing on the overall campus needs for furniture, signage, art and interior design conditions. Assists in the development of long-term facility plans, leveraging data to support decision-making, and overseeing the day-to-day activities to ensure facilities effectively support organizational goals and growth.
Job Responsibilities- Direct and oversee campus interior design, furniture planning, signage, move management, and art program initiatives to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with institutional standards and strategic objectives.
- Lead the development and implementation of facility planning, space utilization, and analytics strategies that support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and an exceptional workplace environment.
- Establish, maintain, and enforce campus design standards, space planning guidelines, and workplace aesthetics to ensure consistency across all facilities and projects.
- Partner with leadership, departments, and vendors to support strategic planning, project execution, and informed decision-making.
- Identify and implement innovative processes, technologies, and best practices to enhance departmental performance and service delivery.
- Influence and engage with key stakeholders (e.g., cross-functional teams, senior leadership, vendors) to influence decision‑making.
- Stay updated with latest developments in the field (e.g., latest updates to federal and state laws);
Evaluate and advise on the impact of new related strategies, programs, and/ or regulatory actions. - Lead, coach, and develop staff through performance management, training, mentoring, and career development initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet goals and objectives of the department and institution.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Business or related area required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 10+ years experience in the planning, design and administration in construction or related industry.
- 2+ years of management and/or supervisory experience required.
- Experience leading/ overseeing overall operations of multiple areas within Design, construction and planning or comparable function(s).
- Proven experience working in a multi-functional environment, influencing critical cross-functional stakeholders to drive processes/systems and outcomes.
- Experience with operational management, budget planning, and stakeholder and resource management.
- Prior experience in building external connections with peers, emerging technology communities, and expert networks.
- Experience leading & managing teams in a supervisory/ leadership capacity.
- Proven performance in earlier role.
- Shows strong skills in thinking critically with a systemic view.
- Shows expertise in taking a structured approach to analyze and resolve issues.
- Able to distinguish between different sets of issues, set priorities, and make decisions.
- Builds internal connections and external partnerships across executive/leadership levels.
- Strategically understands stakeholder needs and manages expectations and relationships on a regular basis.
- Can handle highly sensitive or tough situations with social and emotional grace and maturity.
