Description
- Operating a python CNC machine to manufacture steel beams for construction
- Familiarity with tolerances, performing quality inspections of specific metrics
- Utilize HMI and pre-programmed machines to bend, cut, and fab beams to blueprints
- Operate Over head crane as needed to move materials (can be taught)
- Forklift operations would be strongly desired as this is a small warehouse.
- Blueprint reading, calipers, die setting, die setup, mechanical aptitude, mechanically inclined, quality assurance, quality control
Skills & Qualifications
- 1 - 3 years with set up and operation of CNC machine or production machinery
- Steel manufacturing a BIG PLUS but not required - NON-temp controlled
- Experience with Mics, cals, and tape measurers required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprint
- Strong math skills for inputting specific dimensions and figures into the CNC machinery
- Strong computer skills as CNC Operators use computer software to control machinery
- Understanding of how the machine works to maintain the machinery for which they are responsible and ensure it functions properly.
- Problem-solving skills in order to detect issues in the creation process and find solutions to ensure the machinery creates the product provided in the draft
- Intermediate Level
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Memphis, TN.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
