Amazon Robotics (AR) is Amazon’s industrial automation and robotics manufacturing arm, producing high‑quality robotic systems that power fulfillment and transportation centers across the globe. Our Operations team works closely with Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to deliver solutions to our customers.

We are seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Lead to support and lead a team in electro‑mechanical assembly, test, material handling, pack, and ship. The Production Lead is a hands‑on process leader responsible for coordinating daily production activities, troubleshooting process issues, and driving continuous improvement within their area of responsibility.

Key job responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate materials manufacturing activities to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and on‑time delivery of robotics products.
  • Serve as a critical bridge between manufacturing operations, supply chain, and logistics teams while managing complex production control responsibilities.
  • Maintain material flow through effective WIP management, coordinate with multiple stakeholders including Tighe 3PL, supply chain teams, and internal manufacturing groups.
  • Identify and resolve production bottlenecks, manage expedites, and ensure accurate tracking of materials and assemblies throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Manage move order execution and validation, systematic replenishment processes, and precise inventory control through cycle count oversight.
  • Lead daily production control operations and coordinate across multiple shifts.
  • Optimize WIP tracking systems for complex robotics assemblies.
  • Drive resolution of production issues through cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Ensure data accuracy in Oracle and other production control systems.
  • Coordinate expedited shipments and manage short‑ship situations.
  • Prepare and deliver daily production status updates to leadership.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance production efficiency.
  • Mentor team members and promote best practices in production control.
  • Oversee systematic replenishment processes across production areas and maintain minimum/maximum levels.
  • Lead cycle count programs and ensure inventory accuracy across all production zones.
Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years in a manufacturing, production, or assembly environment.
  • 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role, managing production activities or supporting a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to read technical documentation, interpret work instructions, and ensure quality adherence.
  • Experience with tools, equipment, and systems used in an electro‑mechanical manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree or technical certification in manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in Lean manufacturing, 6S, or Kaizen practices.
  • Experience facilitating training and contributing to the development of new team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to lead meetings and coordinate across multiple teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
