Responsibilities
- Develop and manage production schedules to meet output targets and ensure on-time delivery of electrolyte products.
- Supervise all stages of electrolyte production, including solvent purification, formulation, mixing, and quality inspection.
- Supervise production supervisors, operators, and technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Organize training programs for production staff on standard operating procedures, safety protocols, and new process technologies.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor key performance indicators (OEE, yield, downtime) and implement corrective actions to improve plant performance.
- Ensure all production activities comply with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and EHS regulations.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production deviations, non-conformities, or quality incidents.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure optimal functionality of production equipment (reactors, distillation units, mixing systems).
- Support the implementation of predictive maintenance strategies to minimize unplanned downtime.
- Monitor raw material consumption and inventory levels for key inputs (lithium salts, solvents, additives).
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and documentation of chemicals in accordance with safety and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports covering output, efficiency, quality metrics, and incident summaries.
- Maintain accurate production records, batch documentation, and compliance logs for audits.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or similar certification is preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a production supervisory or managerial role.
- Hands‑on experience in electrolyte, battery materials, or specialty chemicals production is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of chemical production processes, quality control methods, and EHS standards.
- Experience with DCS/PLC systems, MES, and ERP software (e.g., SAP) is required.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.
Knowledge of the local language (e.g., Czech, German) is an advantage.
