* Job Description:

** The primary function of this position is the efficient and effective management of the production activities within the facility through the use of proven manufacturing techniques consistent with company policies. The production manager ensures that product and services are produced safely, and with high quality.
3.0 PRINCIPAL

ACCOUNTABILITIES :3.1 Utilize strong leadership skills to effectively manage and coordinate production activities daily. Continuously contributing and improving overall Plant performance (effectiveness and efficiency) through KPI’s and effective coaching, mentoring, and training.
3.2 Responsible for the safe and efficient day to day operations of the plant with an eye towards maximizing the efficiency of production activities while ensuring product quality.
3.3 Ensure that weekly production schedules are met by deploying appropriate resources while managing standard cost.
3.4 Lead and facilitate continuous improvement activities through utilization of lean manufacturing. product quality, factory throughput, and delivery performance.
3.5 Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability in all aspects of plant operations, resulting in the safe production of quality products and services.
3.6 Establish training programs for employees, set performance expectations, monitor performance and provide couching and feedback to the employees.
3.7 Work with internal departments to drive Safety, Quality and Service levels for both internal and external customers.
3.8 Ensures that all company policies are implemented and followed.
3.9 Support and comply with all requirements of the Environmental Management System (EMS).4.0 SPECIAL FEATURES: (if needed)4.1 None
5.0 KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/

SKILLS:

5.1 Bachelor’s degree; preferably in Engineering or Manufacturing or5.2 Minimum 8 years of manufacturing experience preferably in a chemical plant
5.3 Strong leadership skills with demonstrated accomplishments in process improvements.
5.4 Skilled in identifying and solving problems and ability of making independent decision to solve problems.
5.5 Excellent Oral and written communication, ability to effectively present to senior management
5.6 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong background in continuous improvement (Lean, Chemical manufacturing)
The salary range for this position is $131,300- $139,100. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
