PositionSummary
This role contributes to success by ensuring optimal raw material planning, scheduling and resource coordination across the two North American manufacturing sites using SAP and business analytics tools. The goal is to schedule raw materials that adhere to the production schedules for each manufacturing site, ensuring on‑time‑in‑full delivery that ensures efficient inventory levels and exceed order fulfillment expectations while supporting financial objectives.
This role partners closely with Procurement, Supply Planning, Production Scheduling, Logistics, and suppliers to ensure seamless supply network planning and production schedule accuracy at manufacturing sites.
Outcome:
Ensure on-time-in-full supply of raw materials, packaging, and inventory items.
- Confirm item/container availability for each order
- Manage Open Purchase Order Report to track incoming materials
- Place accurate and timely orders per ISO standards
Expedite and resolve supplier issues to meet production schedules
Outcome:
Maintain accurate and responsive inventory systems.
- Use SAP to manage or adjust raw material orders for both NA sites and any tolling
- Develop and manage raw material safety stock strategies with Supply Planning
- Identify and report expired or slow-moving raw materials or packaging
Apply analytical tools to forecast and resolve inventory or supplier reliability issues
Outcome:
Achieve high accuracy in annual inventory counts.
- Perform data entry, recount, and reconciliation activities
- Participate in routine cycle and annual counts.
Outcome:
Optimize inventory levels to meet demand and reduce waste.
- Review demand and lead times periodically
- Set and maintain safety stock and reorder points
- Manager planner number assignments
Outcome:
Align material availability with production schedule.
- Review and validate planned purchase orders
- Attend daily production meetings and update availability to manufacturing teams
- Escalate supply chain issues impacting customer satisfaction
- Generate monthly performance reports – Supplier OTIF
- Support accounting and special projects
- Interface with Procurement to resolve order issues
- Participate in problem‑solving teams
- Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Operations Management - Job
Experience:
4 - 6 years - APICS certification is a plus
- Proficiency in Material Scheduling, Procurement and supply chain terminology
- SAP or ERP platform experience
