Position Summary

The production supervisor coordinates and assigns the activities of production workers, ensures production targets are met, maintains quality standards, and drives P&L results. This role supervises production operations within an assigned area or during assigned shifts.

1st shift: 6:00 AM – 2:40 PM, Monday–Friday

Pay Rate: $18.00 / $20.00 plus 15% differential and 10% IGOR

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Supervise workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control, or package goods for shipment.
  • Schedule and assign tasks to workers, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Responsible for meeting or surpassing daily key performance indicators (KPIs), with accurate reporting that consistently exceeds customer expectations.
  • Deliver clear and concise information during shift transition meetings, ensuring the next shift is prepared for success.
  • Provide first‑level support for any escalated issue during the work shift.
  • Maintain consistent production quality by monitoring departmental performance metrics.
  • Communicate effectively with management and customers to ensure service level agreements are met and issues are promptly resolved.
  • Engage in employee relations initiatives, promptly addressing and resolving employee concerns to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Assist in P&L forecasting and analysis, alongside labor planning and scheduling.
  • Prepare and administer daily performance feedback and reporting as required.
  • Coordinate the flow of work through the department and ensure the department has sufficient inventory levels to meet demand and is staffed appropriately.
  • Provide training, motivation, and support to employees regarding company and departmental procedures, development opportunities, and departmental processes.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors.
  • All other duties assigned based on the business the warehouse supports.
Required Skills and Experience
  • 1+ year of leadership experience; materials/distribution environment preferred.
  • Capable problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, demonstrating a strategic approach focused on results and continuous improvement.
  • Detail‑oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities, demonstrating effective verbal and written communication.
  • Capacity to engage with customers in a professional manner.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Previous experience working in a high‑volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (e.g., testing and repair) or forward logistics operation.
  • Supervising temporary staff.
  • Experience with UKG and Kronos.
  • General knowledge of OSHA standards.
Educational Requirements
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
